Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email, name (optional) and a securely hashed password.
• Your content: the clips, photos and audio you upload, and the videos we make from them.
• Payment data: the product you bought, the amount and Razorpay's payment/order IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay, never by us.
• Technical data: IP address and basic logs needed for security and rate limiting. We use privacy-friendly analytics without advertising cookies.

Why we use it

• To provide the Service: store your uploads, make your videos and show your history.
• To process payments and keep records required by tax law.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To email you about your account (for example, password resets). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Who can see your content

Only you. Your uploads and videos are private to your account. We do not sell your data or use your clips to advertise. Staff access content only when needed to fix a problem you report or when required by law.

How long we keep it

• Uploads and finished videos: deleted automatically after 7 days.
• Unfinished uploads: deleted after 24 hours.
• Account data: until you delete your account. Payment records: as long as tax law requires (usually 8 years).

Your rights

You can access and correct your data, and delete your account and all your files at any time from Account & billing. You can also contact our grievance officer at support@clipinai.com; we respond within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt, sessions use signed HTTP-only cookies, all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), and every file is isolated to its owner's account.

Processors

We use trusted providers to run the Service: cloud hosting and storage, Razorpay for payments, and an email provider for account emails. They process data only on our instructions.
